Pelstar LLC/Health o meter® Professional Scales Participates in AIM High Mentoring Program

Pelstar LLC, manufacturer of Health o meter® Professional scales, has joined with The Center for Companies That Care to participate in the AIM High student mentoring program. The Center for Companies that Care is a national, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving communities and workplaces through community-building initiatives and education. Pelstar LLC/Health o meter® Professional Scales is contributing to the organization with a monetary donation as well as employee involvement in the AIM High student mentoring program.

According to the Companies that Care website, the AIM High program works to “ensure that 100% of participating students will graduate from high school, enter college, and gain the skills needed to succeed in tomorrow’s workplace.” This initiative pairs low-income, urban students with corporate mentors who will teach them workplace skills such as interviewing and resume writing, and helping them prepare college applications.

In addition to the donation, a number of Pelstar LLC/Health o meter® Professional Scales employees have volunteered to become corporate mentors in the AIM High program, including CEO Dan Maeir. Maeir and his employees will work with an assigned student and attend various AIM High educational and fundraising events. Maeir says, “Giving back to the community is very important to our company and employees and we are excited to be working with the AIM High program”.
