Health o meter® Professional Scales Announces New Community Outreach Recipient

Health o meter® Professional Scales announces new community involvement efforts with A Safe Haven Foundation. A Safe Haven Foundation is a Chicago based social enterprise that helps people aspire, transform and sustain their lives as they transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency. Through its many assistance programs, A Safe Haven Foundation is able to provide phased housing, health and education services, and sustainable employment. The foundation relies heavily on private and corporate donations as well as volunteer efforts to support the organization. Health o meter® Professional Scales has chosen A Safe Haven Foundation as its community outreach recipient and employees recently attended several A Safe Haven Foundation events including the 7th Annual 5k Run To End Homelessness and 4th Annual Homeless Veteran Stand Down. The company also spent several hours volunteering at A Safe Haven Foundation’s headquarters helping with various tasks such as painting benches, cleaning, and preparing food for the residents. This month Health o meter® Professional Scales employees will collect items for A Safe Haven Foundation’s School Supply Drive.

“A Safe Haven is truly unique organization with a positive impact on the community” said Dan Maier, Health o meter® Professional Scales’ CEO. “We are honored to be involved with this tremendous foundation.”

“We are very fortunate to have Health o meter® Professional Scales and its employees pitching in to donate school supplies to our residential school aged children to make them ready for a new school year. The generosity not only prepares the children for their first day of school by equipping them with the necessary tools to be productive, it also helps reduce the anxiety of starting a new school year and serves as a boost of self-confidence for their days ahead.”, said President and Co-Founder Neli Vazquez-Rowland.
