New EHR Incentive Program Requirements in 2014

Providers that currently are, or intending to, participate in the EHR Incentive Program should be aware of program updates so they are meeting all requirements. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released the final Stage 2 Meaningful Use rules and it included changes made to Stage 1 as well. That change stated that beginning in 2014, all providers, regardless of whether they are in Stage 1 or Stage 2 of meaningful use, will be required to report on the Clinical Quality Measures (CQM) finalized in the Stage 2 rule.

Andrew serves as Health o meter® Professional’s Controller, overseeing the Accounting and IT departments. Andrew has a Bachelor’s Degree and Post Graduate Certificate in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His experience includes Public Accounting as an Auditor auditing small privately held companies before becoming Assistant Controller for a large international software company.

Jim Sprutta, Engineering Manager

Jim joined the Health o meter® Professional team in 2012 as Project Engineer and now serves as Engineering Manager responsible for engineering, quality, and regulatory functions. He received his Electrical Engineering degree at IIT and is a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. Jim has over 20 years experience in the medical x-ray industry and has held previous positions such as Senior Electrical Engineer.
